IR SAIS joins Sony Music Latin's powerhouse roster

“Dream Girl” Certified 6X Platinum By The RIAA

After drumming up nearly one billion total streams and taking over social media, multilingual Caribbean singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ir Sais has signed to Sony Music Latin.

Regarding the signing, Alex Gallardo, President of Sony Music Latin said Ir is a once-in-a-generation artist. He’s a rare talent with proficiency across instruments, raw star power, and an incredible voice. He already got the whole world to notice him. Now, we’re very excited to join forces as he ascends to the top of Latin music and culture.”

Meanwhile, Ir expressed, “I remember when I was 11 years old creating my first self-produced demo with two analog Nokia phones recording with one and using the other one as playback machine. That was the beginning of my journey producing, writing and singing my own songs, directing my own videos and using online self-distribution to present my culture and music to the world. Singing in my mother tongue Papiamentu, I knew the road to having the world hear my creations would be hard. It got a little easier when I started working with my manager, Veikko Fuhrmann, who opened the doors to key partners for the success of ‘Dream Girl.’ One of them was Sony Music Latin and its President, Alex Gallardo and VP of A&R, Alejandro Reglero who took a shot at working ‘Dream Girl.’ They understood my desire to preserve my culture and language through music and show the children from my island and all small countries, that you can do you anything if you work hard and believe in yourself.”

He added, “Coming from Bonaire, a tiny Island in the Caribbean, singing in my native language of Papiamentu and signing with a global record label such as Sony Music Latin gives me the chance to have a team that works at the highest level in the music business. One billion streams and views, multiple platinum certifications later, we all came together to continue telling my story.”

He unveiled earlier this year another hit entitled Midnight Boom with two-time Latin GRAMMY®-winning Colombian group ChocQuibTown and British artist Afro B. The track fuses Spanish, English, and verses in Papiamentu—the language of Ir’s native island Bonaire. It soars as the ultimate Afro-Latin anthem and a surefire summer smash. These three titans also joined forces in the blockbuster sexy and stunning music video.

Ir Sais earned a global smash with the 2018 hit “Dream Girl” and its 2019 remix with Rauw Alejandro, which boast over 293 million views in sum. The remix also hit #1 on Spotify in the South American countries of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, as well as in all six Spanish-speaking countries of Central America. Crossing over into new markets, it also made the Spotify top 40 in Switzerland, Canada, Portugal and Romania, while being certified Triple Platinum in the United States. Also, it received an additional remix “Dream Girl (Global Remix)” alongside international musical heavy hitters Jamaican recording artist Sean Paul and American-Nigerian artist/producer DaVido.
